The 2 projection screens we offer are diagonally 200" and 220" viewable, roughly 16' wide and 9' tall. With the frames, these screens are between 18' and 22' wide. The inflatable screen has a depth of approximately 10'. Both screens are 16:9 aspect ratios.
We tested our equipment to see what the typical power consumption looks like and although our equipment is very efficient and we are able to put on a show with a single 15 amp outlet in a pinch, we recommend at least 2 separate 15 amp circuits to run all of the equipment. The truth is that between not knowing what is currently running on any given circuit and with GFCI outlets/GFCI circuits typically being more sensitive than standard 15 amp circuit breakers (sometimes they trip easier with age), we recommend 2 circuits to be safe.
Outlets must be within 100' of the screen, no more than 150' (we leave about 50' of play).
In cases where power is not available you event will require the use of a generator and we will supply our 3,000 watt generator at an additional cost. We will not be able to use your generator.
Yes! As long as you have the equipment and it is compatible with HDMI or has a 3.5MM jack, it will connect with the equipment. If you need internet/wifi you will need to supply a hotspot or similar device to reach the internet.
We budget for a 2.5 hour show, should your feature require more time or you would like a longer rental, that's no problem! We charge a fee of $300 per additional hour (full hours only).
Our setup and tear down is not included in your 2.5 hour runtime, that time belongs to you!
Setup and tear down each takes about 60-90 minutes and we are happy to give you time for free to play music, play videogames or watch additional content prior to your movie start time should we finish our setup early.
Typically the movies are supplied on a Blu-Ray (4k or 1080p HD) disc or DVD. Alternatively if you have media in other formats and the device you have to play those formats had HDMI, we can typically make it work for you! Some folks like to use Roku's, Nvidia Shield's, Firesticks or Playstation's/XBox's to accomplish these tasks.
The owner of AZ Outdoor Cinema is an audiophile, he loves high quality audio and splurged on super nice equipment for his company! Most operators tend to use self powered speakers from QSC, Yamaha, Behringer, EV, Mackie, JBL and some others and while the owner likes all of these brands and even uses QSC standalone amplifiers, he's found the speaker offerings from these brands to be underwhelming in sound quality despite their popularity. The owner prefer to run what he himself likes and prefers and if you are looking for the same sound quality as found in most Harkins, this gives you some of that experience!
The owner chose Klipsch as his go-to brand for speakers. Klipsch has an immensely rich history in the audio industry and was established by Paul Klipsch in 1946 in Hope Arkansas. Klipsch is extremely well known and regarded in the professional audio industry as a pioneer in audio engineering and you can find their speakers in cinemas here in Arizona at most Harkins as well as cinemas and live performances venues across the United States.
In order to round out the movie experience, 2 3-way main left and right speakers with 15" woofer and a compression driver/horn mid range and tweeters along with 2 Klipsch dual 18" subwoofers are included for every performance so you get the full frequency range reproduction of sound. These subwoofers are THX rated and are the same type of subwoofers that are often used in movie theaters so that you get that cinematic low end impact that is often missing from other operators shows. Let's get ready to rumbbbbllllleeeeeeee!!!!!
